For the analog format, the translation of data is in electric pulses which varies in amplitude while for the digital format, the translation of data is in the binary format with two distinct amplitudes represent each bit.

[...] The Difference Between Analogue And Digital Part II: Time I’m always interested in reading about people’s experiences from the two worlds out there, real and digital. They take a comparative view of how scheduling and time works out in both of those world’s. [...]

I wish my iPhone had a filter like that! My Filofax also had a clever filter of "are you sure you want to add that person to your address book? They're kind of creepy and you only have so many pages left." The iPhone? It'll take a bluetooth beam from anyone, the whore.

Hi Sam

This reminds me of an argument I had going about digital images and how we almost stop questioning because they're 'logged' not produced.

That 8:20 adds up continuously, at the end of the year, there's nothing to reflect on, but there's certainly a data trail pointing out all the blocks of on/off time! You could just throw in an imaginary 'busy' life and have proof by year end!

I really like the idea of a lazy filter in your calendar - "are you really going to work on a Sunday? Are you sure you wanna do that! You should really get out more, it's 28 degrees outside!"
